UNICEF Philippine Country Office is inviting you to submit a proposal for LRPS-2023-9182343: Implementation Research on OPT Plus and Family MUAC for the Management of Child Wasting.

Summarized Terms of Reference:

The overall goal of this research project is to develop and test a novel and contextualized scalable and sustainable PIMAM delivery model that optimizes case-finding and referral through Implementation research.

Overall Objectives of consultancy:

  1. To design/develop a contextualized and optimized PIMAM delivery model integrating the Family MUAC simplification into routine case-finding (OPT Plus) and referral mechanisms to maximize PIMAM program performance in terms of effectiveness, efficiency and coverage

 

Primary Research objectives

  1. To conduct a desk review and a health system capacity assessment to identify factors negatively affecting the performances of PIMAM and understand   health system functionality including areas that need strengthening   and readiness to implement the contextualized new delivery model to be proposed  . 
  2. To field-test the novel strategy including the adjusted versions resulting from interim periodic analyses 
  3. To test the final model in non-research settings 

 

Secondary Research objectives 

  1. To identify sustainable strategy for delivering refresher trainings
  2. To identify approach allowing continuous replacement/supply of MUAC tapes to caregivers
