Description

To undertake an evaluation of performance of countries’ surveillance and contact tracing (CT) systems and the utility and impact of digital technology during the COVID-19 pandemic in the WHO South-East Asia Region

 

Objectives of the evaluation:
1) To describe countries’ systems and experiences for COVID-19 surveillance and CT, their performance against their programmatic objectives and to identify lessons to inform the strengthening of these for epidemic and pandemic-prone diseases.
2) To review the utility of digital technology for COVID-19 surveillance and CT in terms of its benefits, challenges and implications and to identify lessons to inform its optimisation.
