Provision of Specialized Transit warehousing services in Dubai/UAE.

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) invites qualified companies to submit their Expression of Interest for the Potential Specialized Transit warehousing services in Dubai (UAE). This EOI will be followed by a Request for Information (RFI). Scope of Work: The company shall provide specialized transit warehousing services including Custom brokerage and freight forwarding services from Jabel Ali Free zone for any cargo meant to be forwarded to Kabul, Afghanistan by ground/sea/air or other related services pursuant to the Agreement. Extent of Work: The service shall include but not limited to below. • Solid construction, boundary walled, Gated, and covered warehouse • Availability of transit cold rooms • Availability of fire and burglar resistant safe • Temperature inside the warehouse to be controlled • Receipt and incoming inspection of goods and reporting thereof. • Storing of goods, in an ambient (dry storage) environment • Proper Inventory control with daily reporting • Shelf life monitoring and timely reporting • Repacking, break and build and reconstitution of consignments as on required basis • Preparation of shipment/distribution of goods • Professional staff for warehouse management and logistics software and specialists • Loading/unloading areas suitable to handle trucks • 24 hour, 7 days a week security guards provided, and CCTV monitoring inside and outside the warehouse • Suitable firefighting equipment is in warehouse compound, in addition to a proper fire alarm • The estimated storage requirement is 5,000 cbm per year subject to change according to needs. Figures are indicative and do not represent a commitment that UNAMA will utilize the above quantity. Quantities may vary and will depend on the actual requirements.
