New clarification added: Question: Dear Sir, Good day, 1- We had attended the site visit within the past version of this tender, and there was no site visit certificate, so please advise regarding schedule 16 of the returnable bid! 2- For the performance bond guranatee in USD, it is not applicable as per Bank of Sudan polices!3- Please confirm the type of contract? in Section III - contract sample, SCHEDULE 4 - SCHEDULE OF CONTRACT PRICE it mentioned that its a measured contract but also it must not to exceed the contract price, so which point to consider? Dear Bidder, Thanks for your interest in this tender, Answers: Question 1: Site visit is not Mandatory, as you have attended in the previous version just leave the form empty.Question 2: You need to have a USD account from a specified bank to be able to get a guarantee check from the bank. For now we need you to name the bank you will issue the guarantee check from if awarded.Question 3: Section III Contract Sample, Short Form Construction Contract.

New clarification added: Question: Dear Sir/MadamKindly Clarify the following Questions:-1- Operation Theater (Item 9.3.2) , Toilets (Item 7.3.2) and Medical Wards (Item 8.3.3) WC Cistren is it a complete set of eastern WC or water tank with cistern only.2- Toilets (Item 7.4.1 ) as of the description it is supply and installation of ball valve, while the unit of measurement is in ML, it should be in number.Dear Bidder, Thanks for your interest in this tender. Answers: Question 1: The work shall include Supply & installation of type PPR pipes with all required types of fittings and valves for the installation of a W.C. cistern. It is NOT the set of w.c. cistern neither tank (these are included as separate items in the BOQ). Question 2: Toilets, Item 7.4.1, the measuring unit is number indeed.Best Regards. UNOPS Sudan Team.

Are demolition works will be done only for western bathroom units as per BOQ or (Men mosque,eastern bathrooms,women mosque and fuel storage) will be included as per drawings ? 2. In site work - Power room, Excavation and Plain concrete are not mentioned in the BOQ...Please advise3. New clarification added: Question: in the Returnable Bid Schedule 6 - Insurances1- what do you mean by the "insurance cover as per the Ethiopia local law" ?2- what the type of insurance do you want? is it for the Doka Old Hospital project or for the company staff? is it a midical insurance?3- there is any specific formula for the insurance document?Dear Bidder, Thanks for your interest in this tender, Answers: Question 1: The Insurance cover is as per the local laws of Sudan.Question 2: As indicated on returnable schedule 6, the awarded contractor is expected to provide Construction All Risks Insurance covering 100% of contract value (CAR) Insurance and Workers’ Compensation/Employer’s Liability Insurance (WCI) as per section 14 of the contract document(ITB Short form construction contract section III).Question 3: There is no specific formula to the insurance document.Best Regards UNOPS Sudan Team.

New clarification added: Question: Esteemed Sirs, after reviewing the documentation,. photos, plans of the works to be done we recomend installing a modern modular hospital on the premises. This will allow an energy efficent, functional hospital to be presented in a minimumm of time, We are available for any additional information you may need,Dear Bidder, Thanks for your interest in this tender. Answer: We have to stick to the scope agreed with and approved by the Donor, besides, the time allocated is very tight due to project deadlines pre-determined by the donor.Best Regards UNOPS Sudan Team.
