Request for Expression of Interest

UNFPA, United Nations Population Fund, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan declares the commencement of reception of interest for provision of in-country transportation services for the participants of UNFPA Programme events conducted as part of UNFPA Country Programme for Uzbekistan in 2010-2015 approved by the Government of Uzbekistan.

The scope of services should include, but not limited to:

-          Identifying most relevant and economical route and method of transportation for a participant of UNFPA ( hereafter referring as “Client”) programme event,

-          Liaising with the Client and obtaining his/her IDs and other documentation necessary for arranging transportation services;

-          Provision of land transportation for  the Client within Uzbekistan if this mode of transportation is most direct and economical. The company through its travel coordinator shall liaise with Client to agree with him/her all details of her/his pick up and transporting to the destination.

-          Reservation, procurement and delivery of in-country air tickets or railway tickets to the Client. Follow-up with the Clients in case of deviation from the planned trip arrangements.

-          Delivery of the relevant travel and financial documents to the UNFPA office premises as necessary;

Now UNFPA invites all qualified companies interested in provision of above mentioned services to submit their Expression of Interest.

The companies are obliged to submit the following comprehensive information/documentation demonstrating their qualifications and experience in provision of similar services:

1. A succinct description of how the company foresees the structuring the provision of the above mentioned services;
2. The  information on company profile and experience in the similar areas, including good track record in serving international organizations, embassies, multinational organizations;
3. References if any;
4. Any other information/documentation which the Company considers relevant.

Expression of Interest should be submitted at the address below in a sealed envelope marked [Express of Interest: “Provision of in-country transportation within Uzbekistan for participants of UNFPA programme events”] no later than May 11, 2012, 6.00 p.m. . Late submissions will not be considered.
