Contract for the supply of visibility items (polo t-shirts, vests and caps)

1.             Description of Requirement:

The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) located at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) for an Invitation to Bid (ITB) it intends to issue for the supply of visibility items (vests, polos and caps) for the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

2.             Specific Requirements/Information:

General technical specifications:

2.1   Vest:
-        Colour: Khaki brown.
-        Zip fastener in the front, opened at the sides with three tape fasteners on each side.
-        One large zipped pocket, other smaller zipped pockets and a radio holder on the right.
-        Pocket on the left with navy blue OCHA United Nations logo sewn on it.

2.2    Polo shirts:
-        Short-sleeve polo shirt, with heart pocket

-        Colour: navy blue.
-        Embroidery on the heart pocket:  OCHA United Nations logo

2.3   Caps:

-       Baseball Caps, 6 pans,

-       Colour: Khaki Brown

-       Velcro on the back

-       OCHA United Nations logo sewn.

Duration of the contract: 3 years

Quantities: The estimated quantities to be purchased under the contract are: 765 polos; 880 vests and 1,000 caps (during 3 years).

Delivery: DAP Geneva.

Please note that at this stage, vendors are only requested to express their interest to participate in the bidding process which will be launch in a subsequent phase. The tender documents will be sent only to the short-listed vendors.

The estimated date for the launch of the ITB is mid April 2012 and for the contract award is end of May 2012.
