1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit proposals for Camp Logistics Support Services for the UNAMI Compound located in Basrah, Iraq to be provided by a qualified contractor for initial period of 1 Year with an option to extend for additional 4 Years (1+4), one year at a time, subject to extension of UNAMI mandate, availability of funds and satisfactory performance by the prospective contractor (s) starting 01 April 2012 in order to ensure full security and life support self-reliance of the UN Country Team (UNCT) members following US forces cessation of support. A) The projected requirements are as follows: Basra: Location: PRT Compound, Camp Footprint (Approx. m2) 200,000 m2 Generators (Numbers and Capacity): 2 = 2,750 KVA Vehicles (Projected No.): 24 Maximum Occupancy: 177 Minumum Occupancy: 80 Average Occupancy: 129 B) Summary of the requirements for RECURRING Services are as follows: 1 Bottled Water for Accommodations 2 Fire Extinguishers/ Smoke detectors maintenance 3 CCTV Maintenance 4 Public Annouce System Maintenance 5 Copy Machine Maintenance 6 X-Ray Machine Maintenance 7 Satellite TV Services 8 Barber Service 9 Building Maintenance 10 Potable and non-potable bulk water 11 Generator Maintenance 12 AC and HVAC Maintenance 13 Landscaping and Gardening 14 Cleaning 15 Pest Control 16 Laundry and Dry Cleaning 17 Garbage Collection 18 Sewage Collection 19 Housekeeping including Linen and Towels 20 Gym Equipment Maintenance 2.0 The services shall be provided and executed by a qualified and experienced company based on detailed Scope of Works, the UN General Conditions of Contracts for Provision of Goods & Services and other related documents which will be provided later on by UNAMI to qualified companies who express their interest and qualify for the tender. For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly (Request for Proposal). 3.0 Please note on the following: a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a proposal. b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for tender document. c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOI's received after the above deadline.
