United Nations Logistics Base (UNLB) wishes to establish a contract for the provision of a series of Symantec technical training courses for system and network administrators in the field directly involved in the area of expertise of the courses. The service should include Symantec technical training courses and the related certification exams that are embedded in the below-listed product areas: • Symantec Endpoint Protection • Symantec Network Access Control • Symantec Enterprise Vault • Symantec Netbackup We request such services to be delivered as onsite instructor-led classes and in e-learning format (self-paced and/or virtual) as an option. With reference to the onsite delivery format, the training courses shall be mainly conducted at any of the following venues listed below as well as at any other UN locations in any combination the UNLB sees fit: • UNLB - Brindisi (Italy) • UNSB - Valencia (Spain) • Entebbe Support Base (ESB) - Entebbe (Uganda) • UNIFIL, Lebanon Please find as follows tentative schedules for classes to be run back to back at UNLB, Brindisi, this year: Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 MR4: Administration (5 days) 28 Nov-2 Dec 2011 Symantec Network Access Control 11.x (2 days) 5-6 Dec 2011 Symantec Netbackup 7.0 for Windows, Administration (5 days)16-20 Jan 2012 Symantec Netbackup Puredisk 6.6 Administration (3 days) 23-25 Jan 2012. The full technical requirements and details will be provided with a formal solicitation document to be issued at a later stage soon after the closing date for this EOI. General Conditions: Contractors interested in participating in this solicitation are invited to express their interest via fax or email citing the full name of the company, complete address, telephone and fax number as well as the name and title of a designated point of contact. This notice does not constitute solicitation. The UNLB reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time in the EOI and/or solicitation process. The UNLB Procurement considers a firm's qualifications and experience in the particular commodity/service area, and previous performance, when preparing a list of invitees. Therefore, in case of EOIs concerning equipment or supplies, for responding vendors who are not manufacturers, full details of the vendor's status, as a factory-appointed wholesaler or distributor, must be provided if not already on file with UNLB Procurement.
