Description
Consultancy Services to conduct a Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices Study on Riverbank Breakages along the Shabelle River (21/293) The proposed KAP study, aims to clarify a set of critically important questions to support the National Flood Task Force and build a body of evidence that will help deliver a roadmap to action for the nexus approach in Somalia on flood along the Shabelle river. Specifically, this study aims to assess, analyze, and document an objective understanding of: 1. The dynamics of the behavior of farmers towards the breaking and/or failure of river embankments. 2. Other dimensions not fully understood by humanitarian actors beyond the fact that many irrigation systems are not functional (underpinning future options to address identified constraints - other than rehabilitating infrastructure). 3. To map out other actors that operate in the districts to ensure that interventions are not overlapping with other humanitarian agencies.
