Procurement of Hook and Line for UNAMS Somalia Programme

New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please note the below-raised questions and our official responses in connection to the request for Quotation, ref. ITB/2021/18670.Question One: The pole's tool attachment-end is not defined to be a female threaded socket, or male threaded or a clip-on and what are to be the thread sizes?The lifting capacity of the pole need to be defined as it will decide the diameters of the telescopic sections and their material. (Options exist from 25mm to 60 mm Outer diameter of the pole with materials of Carbon fiber or Aluminium).Answer One:' Preferable pole construction materials are such as, but not limited to, fiberglass, carbon fiber, or hybrid construction. The Pole must be able to lift at least 10 kg when extended at full length. The pole diameter size should allow operating it using hands, but not too small so that it cannot lift the minimum weight at full extension. The pole tool attachment end should be compatible with the hooks provided with Lightweight Hook and Line kit. The pole should come with Hook Attachments (at last 4 assorted hooks). The thread size to be used is from 2.5 to 5 mm in diameter''. Refer to the revised SoR marked Rev 2.Question Two: A figure is not defined for the stretch requirement of the line. A figure for %age elongation will provide a comparison in open bidding tender (Options exist from 5% to 20%). The maximum break strength of the line needs to be defined. With different materials, 2.5mm-5 mm lines can vary from 40 Kg break strength to 1500 Kg break strength.For the Reel, Is the Plastic materials acceptable? Should the Reel be accommodated in Leg Pouch?Answer Two:'Line stretch: Elongation should not exceed 5%. The minimum break strength should be 100 Kg.  The material of the reel has not been specified, but a detailed data sheet is required. The reel does not require to be accommodated inside Leg Pouch. Refer to the revised SoR marked Rev 2.Question Three: For the four items, Spring grip, Forceps, grapple hook, and the self-grip pliers minimum size is not defined as (Options exist for sizes from 3 to 9 inch)The materials of the Spring grip are metal or plastic or Both?. Should the grapple hook be folding type or non-folding will also be acceptable?Are the 4x hooks required in one size or different sizes will be preferable? What is the attachment design of the hooks (female threaded socket, or male threaded or a clip-on).Will one hook of the 4x hooks with capture gate preferable? We understand a lot of figures are missing to evaluate this offer on an open bidding basis.Answer Three:(all components to fit in the pouch)'' The hooks should be compatible with the Extendable telescopic pole attachment-end''. ITB/2021/18670.Question One (01): The Pole is telescopic type or a breakable type?Answer   One (01): Please refer to the revised SoR marked Rev 1 and the response is’ ’telescopic and of material that does not cause splinters in case of an explosion’’.Question Two (02): For a 3-5mm line, minimum breaking strength can be defined?Answer   Two (02): As indicated in Section II, the Schedule of Requirements, the line must be a high-strength, very low stretch, produced by a reputable manufacturer for the purpose.Question Three (03): For the lightweight leg pouch Hook and line kit, the sizes of Karabiner.Answer   Three (03):  Please refer to the revised SoR marked Rev 1 and the Size of Karabiner w/ roller is not defined, however, it would be useful if these have different sizes.This shall form part of the official solicitation documents.
