Safeguarding of obsolete pesticides in Azerbaijan

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), as part of its assistance to countries to develop sustainable, safe and secure food production, has a programme to support the reduction of risk from unwanted and obsoleted pesticides and pesticide contaminated materials.
The objective of the current tender is the repackaging of an estimated 217 MT of obsolete pesticides, including empty containers and packaging in the storehouse on the Jangi site, so that it can be made ready for ensuing transport and final disposal.
The timeframe for the provision of the above-mentioned services is preferably within 7 months from contract signature.
