Provision of ICAO Medical Insurance for Third Party Administrator (TPA)

ICAO is seeking a qualified company for the processing and reimbursement of medical claims as a third party administrator under the rules of its Medical Benefits Plan (MBP).

The majority of participants are based in Canada (employees of: ICAO; UNEP [Multilateral and SCBD] stationed in Montreal; and IAEA [stationed in Toronto]; some Delegates of ICAO in Montreal and retirees throughout Canada) are enrolled in Medicare i.e. the publicly funded health care system. In addition, they are enrolled to the ICAO supplementary self-insured medical benefits plan. ICAO employees in regional offices and retirees, who reside outside Canada, except for local staff in Paris, are enrolled to the self-insured medical plan. The plan is a primary carrier for all participants in the regional offices and retirees who reside outside Canada. Overall, there are approximately 3,243 insured persons (+/- 15%).
