New clarification added: Question 9:Can we please receive clarifications on our request as send on 2020-04-22 15:53 UTC; we are on a relative short track and preperations to submit offersdo take longer due to limited availabilty of the experts and stakeholders involved due to corona/lockdowns etc.Answer: Sure, please refer to below clarification Question 10:Kindly confirm to us the type of engine cooling required for the sewage pumps? Is it Water or Air-cooled engine?Answer:As mentioned in section II and III, it is Water cooled engine Question 11:Please find here below a couple of question from our side:1 - Is the minimum working pressure of 10 bar a pump performance requirement, or it is ONLY indicating the max pressure working condition of the component with noaffect on the performances (like pump body resistance in pressure condition)?2 - Is the minimum discharge head being matched at minimum discharege flow rate or we have to consider these two numbers as separated values on the pump performance curve?Looking forward to receiving your reply,Answer:All pump performance requirement is mandatory as per in Section II and III, as well as, the parameters suction depth, head, power kW, and Q m3/h, should be considered in the pump performance curves.

New clarification added: Question 5:1. On all pumps, your specifications call for Wet Prime pumps then it also calls for Vacuum Pump Priming. Please refer to Item: 1.14 and Item 2.4.1. Please clarify which type of priming system is desired.2. Packaging for shipment: we can NOT crate each pump, pumps are too large. We would chock the wheels and strap down the pumps in containers. All Spare Parts would be crated in fumigated wood crates and secured for shipment. Are these methods of packaging acceptable??Answer:1- We confirm that the required is a Mobile self-priming diesel Engine-driven sewage vacuum pump to use it for draining wet wastewater pits or sanitation networks ...etc. 2- All goods are the contractor's responsibility, until arriving at the final destination. Question 6:Please indicate the required pressure for the pumps. Is it 6 bar or 10 bar?In Excel table 6 barIn Section II: Schedule of Requirements written 10 barsAnswer:Kindly read the conditions carefully- in the BoQs the suction flexible hose should be at least 6 bar.- While in Section II: Schedule of Requirements the pump Working Pressure: Max. 10 bar. Question 7:We have studied the various documents and requirements in great detail and would highly appreciate clarification on the following issues:TechnicalThe tender requires the pump to be installed on a trailer.Could you indicate what the desired max speed for the trailer should be (eg. 10km/hr; 40km/hr; 80km/hr)It is not fully clear if the trailer should contain all suction hoses and discharge pipes.Could you confirm this should be fitted on the same trailer as the pump?Could you elaborate on what is meant with "2 manual side-wind type located each side at front of trailer"?Besides pipes and hoses, usually bends (eg. 45° or 90° bends) are useful for setting up a pump system.Would these be required as well and if so, in which quantities?A PTO clutch is not commonly used in pumps like these.Could you advise the use of these, as this usually is an item which is causing a lot of problems.Pumps with (flexible) coupling are more common; will that be accepted as well?LogisticalSa'adah, Lahij and Taizz are not only cities but also provences/local governmental areas. Could you please confirm that DAP delivery is in the actual cities with those names.Answer:As mentioned in section II and III, It is Mobil Sewage Pumps Skid mounted on 2 axle rear wheel trailer with two (2) manual side‐wind trailer jack type located each side at front of the trailer. Please refer to the RFQ bidding document and technical specifications.for the delivery place, it is the H.Q. of the water and sanitation local corporation in the city/provinces. of which there is only one water and sanitation local corporation in each capital city of provinces. Question 8:Referring to portable pumps, shall we consider closed type pumps (with Sound proof Enclosure) OR open type (without enclosure). Pls confirm. it will save the equipment from the environmental (Dust / Rain/Temp) effect.- Require delivery term is DAP up to unloading at site. therefore, any applicable custom duty / taxes at Yemen Port will be paid by customer. Pls confirm.- Taking CONVD-19 into account, things are moving slow hence we request for due date extension until 08-May-2020.Answer:Please refer to the RFQ bidding document and technical specifications. We confirm as these goods are a donation by the UNOPS to Yemen people therefore, all goods are exempt from customs at Yemen Ports and usually the UNOPS-logistic section handling this issue. It is an emergency project as these goods will help the cities/water local corporation in reducing the flooded impact therefore we can’t extend the due date.
