Development of a fully working e-learning platform for Education Colleges in Myanmar
Through the “Strengthening Pre-Service Teacher Education in Myanmar” (STEM) project, UNESCO is supporting the MoE to improve the pre-service teacher education system in Myanmar. This includes a strong focus on capacity development of teacher educators and other EC staff as well as a focus on upgrading ICT equipment such as laptops, establishing online knowledge platforms and strengthening networks among all 25 ECs. In particular, UNESCO supported the installation of broadband internet infrastructure to ECs, the creation of an e-library and the development of an e-learning platform.
The purpose of the e-learning platform is to deliver online training modules for access by EC staffs, teacher educators and student teachers and to provide different e-learning features such as:
- Tracking, reporting, data analysis and e-portfolio,
- Assessment, management and live feedback,
- Forums, webminars and virtual classrooms,
- Asynchronous (self-paced) courses, and
- Mobile learning.
The selected contractor will develop the e-learning platform in close collaboration with UNESCO.
