1.       Background
The ‘Our Ocean’ Conference (OOC) Series: Initiated in 2014 by the US State Department, spearheaded by former Secretary of State John Kerry and attended by former President Barack Obama, the Our Ocean Conference series has  elevated ocean issues on the global foreign policy agenda and catalysed political will on actions to preserve global ocean health, including translating commitments into activities that have significantly enhanced the sustainability of oceans.
Participation level at OOC has topped 1000+ over the years, and has included the presence of Heads of State, CEOs and executive representatives of global companies, heads of large philanthropic organizations, global funds, and international NGOs, as well as, members of the Royal families of Monaco, Sweden and Jordan.
Due to its significance Palau will thus convene OOC 2020.
2.       Brief description of Scope of Bid
TThe landscaping includes:

• Backfilling of selected soil fill including grading and compaction
• Adjustment of the height of the existing fence, including laying of additional 6" concrete hollow blocks and reinstallation of existing metal fence
• Construction of a 308" high by 8" thick grouted slope protective riprap wall, including soil fill and weep holes
• Construction of 4" thick by 10" high reinforced concrete rhizome barriers
• Paving of the 4" thick 3000psi stamped concrete walkway reinforced with grade 40 #3 DSB at 14" on centers both ways, including forms
• Paving of a walk path with an interlock 2-1/2"x4"x8" concrete blocks, including 1" thick sand bedding
• Installation of unglazed tiles on the exterior wall of the existing concrete plant box
• Disposal of the the existing concrete plant box
• Etc.
