Provision of Services for the Upgrade and Licensing of Satellite Modems

The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) is seeking for a qualified supplier to provide hardware upgrade service and licenses for UNGSC owned Satellite Modems. The Satellite Modems are currently in use at the UNGSC Headquarters in Brindisi-Italy and at the United Nations Information and Communication Technology Facility (UNICTF), Valencia-Spain. The upgrade is required to comply with new technologies DVB-S2X and Smart Carrier Technology, with the aim to achieve satellite links with high speed and better efficiency. The hardware to be upgraded is as follows: UNGSC, Brindisi (Italy): Satellite Modem with IF standard to L-band DVBS2X upgrade kit, Model: Datum M7; Qty. 2 Satellite Modem with L-band standard to L-band DVBS2X upgrade kit, Model: Datum M7LT, Qty. 2 UNICTF, Valencia (Spain): Satellite Modem with IF standard to L-band DVBS2X upgrade kit, Model: Datum M7; Qty. 2 Service Deliverables: - Pick up and return of the hardware from UNGSC, Brindisi-Italy and UNICTF, Valencia-Spain (Return of Equipment on Delivered at Place (DAP) basis to UNGSC, Brindisi (Italy) and UNICTF, Valencia-Spain, respectively (INCOTERMS 2010) - Hardware upgrade and license installation - Diagnostic Test procedure - Testing of equipment according to the proposed procedure
