Description
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is seeking a qualified entity that shall ensure proper and cost-effective update and expansion of the FAO WaPOR database according to the Organization needs. The database will be made freely available to promote universal access to the data. The update and expansion of the FAO WaPOR database entails the following services:

a. Update of existing WaPOR data in near-real time;
b. Expansion: production of data over new areas and their update applying existing WaPOR methodology;

In this regard, FAO intends to enter into a Long Term Agreement (LTA) with the Bidder providing the best value for the money for such services. An LTA is a written agreement between the selected supplier and FAO that is established for the requested services at prescribed prices or pricing provisions for up to five years, against which specific Purchase Orders can be placed at any time during the defined period, and with no legal obligation to order any minimum or maximum quantity. FAO intends to award an LTA with an initial duration of two (2) years with the possibility of extension for three (3) additional years. FAO may award the services to more than one supplier and therefore, multiple LTAs may result from this tender process.
