ITU Telecom World 2011 (hereinafter the “Event”) is scheduled to take place from 24 to 28 October 2011 (inclusive) at Geneva Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland (hereinafter the “Venue”). Monday 24 October 2011 will consist of an invitation only Leadership Programme. The Event will open to all participants as of 25 October 2011. The Event will be a high level ICT business and government summit, comprising structured networking programmes, multiple Forums, pre-arranged b2b and b2g high-level meetings, CEO meetings, showcasing and hospitality options. It will also include a Digital Cities conference, bringing Mayors, Ministers and CEOs together to discuss the challenges of urbanization and the ways in which innovative solutions can be built on ICTs. As of May 2010, it is expected that the Event will encompass an estimated 10,000m² net of space for all hospitality suites, meetings, summits etc and will be attended by approximately 12’000 participants (including an estimate of 360 journalists/analysts and around 130 Press Officers of participants). These figures are indicative only; ITU cannot take any responsibility if the Event is larger or smaller than anticipated.
Within the framework of the Event, ITU intends to appoint one company to deliver a public relations campaign in alignment with and as an integral part of the ITU Telecom Marketing and Communications efforts. See the details in attached tender documents.
The Bidders shall consider in the elaboration of the offers that the PR Agency’s Campaign costs should not exceed four hundred thousand Swiss Francs (CHF 400,000).
