United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has a requirement for Provision of Advertising Services in the local Newspapers, “on as and when required basis” for UNAMI HQ in Baghdad (IZ), Iraq. The intended contract duration will be for one year, with the option of extension for additional four consecutive years at UNAMI’s discretion, subject to contractor's satisfactory performance. For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue Invitation to Bid (ITB) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. Services Required: Upon receipt of request for posting (via email) from UNAMI, the Contractor shall: • Within five (5) workdays provide UNAMI focal point with a sample of the proposed advertisement (Contractor must provide a sample of the intended advertisement for proofing by UNAMI before posting). • No advertisement will be placed unless the Contractor receives written confirmation from UNAMI of the approval of the provided sample. • The advertisement must be posted on the date stated and for the period stated. • The Contractor shall state the name(s) of the local newspaper the advertisement will be placed in. • UNAMI may instruct the Contractor which local newspaper(s) to place the advertisement in. • Advertisement will only be placed in local newspapers with a minimum circulation of 50,000 copies daily, unless otherwise instructed in writing by UNAMI. • The advertisement shall be in English and/or Arabic languages. • For certain location specific advertisements, UNAMI may request the advertisement be posed in Kurdistan region, using Kurdish language. • Advertisement will be required in one of or all the following Newspapers: • Al Dustour newspaper` • Al-Sabah • Al-Zaman • Al-Mada • Al-Mashriq • As-Sabah Al-Jadeed. Responsibilities of the Contractor: • To post advertisements on the date as requested by UNAMI. • A focal point of the contract with UNAMI. This person must be able to read, write and speak English • If requested by UNAMI the Contractor shall post the advertisements on an urgent basis at no additional cost to UNAMI. • To post approved advertisement for the duration UNAMI requests for. • The Contractor shall follow UNAMI instructions strictly and should provide a sample before publishing. • The Contractor shall cover all expenses related to delivering issued Advertisements and the respective receipts. • No deviations from the attached sample unless written approval from UNAMI focal point is obtained. • The fonts and letters should be clear and precise without compromising the advertisements.
