Description: Execution of urgent safety engineering works to ensure the structural stabilization of the remaining portions of (1) the Al-Hadba Minaret and (2) Al-Nouri Mosque in Mosul, Iraq

United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:

 

To carry out the urgent safety measures and engineering works necessary for the stabilization of the remaining parts of two monuments; namely: 1) the Great Nouri Mosque 2) Al Hadba Minaret in the old city of Mosul, Iraq. The scope of works includes:

  1. CLEANING AND SAFETY OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT WITH THE SPECIAL MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT AID;
  2. SUPPLY OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY FOR EXECUTING THE WORKS;
  3. REALIZATION OF SCAFFOLDS AND SHORING FOR THE SUPPORT OF MASONRY WORKS;
  4. STABILIZATION OF MONUMENTAL BUILDINGS;
  5. CONSOLIDATION OF ARTISTIC MANUFACTURES;
  6. CONSTRUCTION OF MASONRY FOR THE PURPOSE OF SAFETY.

 

The purpose of this notice is to provide general information on the requirements for the procurement process and to inform interested suppliers how to obtain a copy of the Solicitation Documents.

 

Interested companies who wish to participate in the OIC must request for a complete set of Solicitation Documents, available free of charge, from UNESCO contact person at the address shown below.

 

The sealed tenders must be delivered to the UNESCO Iraq Office, at its projects Office located in Erbil (address: Parkview complex, Gulan Street, Bld A2, floor 12, apart 45 Erbil, IRAQ) on or before 08 September 2019 at 12h00 (Erbil local time), in strict compliance with the instructions as stipulated in the Solicitation Documents.

 

UNESCO reserves the right to amend the documents at any time during the solicitation process. Any amendments or clarifications will be communicated directly to all Bidders who have requested for a complete set of solicitation documents and officially confirmed their intention to submit a sealed tender. No remuneration will be made to companies for preparation and submission of their tenders.
