Jardin des Nations - Call for offers - Sale of Land

The following document, the appendices and links to additional information, constitutes a call for offers to purchase Plot no.4057 – a plot of land owned by the International Labour Organization (ILO) adjacent to Route des Morillons and consisting of 40,498 sqm of undeveloped land in a “Zone de Développement 3 (ZD3)”. The objective of this call for offers is to seek a solution whereby the sale, lease or development of the land will support the funding of the on-going renovation works to its existing Headquarters building. A second phase of renovation to include the conferencing facilities, basement services, plant utilities and security upgrades is planned, but requires funding. The estimated value of the works is some CHF 150 million.

The second phase of renovation would normally follow the completion of the first phase of renovation scheduled for November 2019 and thus commence early 2020. It is however, subject to sufficient funds being available.

Therefore, offers will be evaluated by, amongst others; the value of the offer, the timing of the release of funds, the level of risk to be retained by the ILO and their overall ability to meet the key objective.
