Mediation and peaceful resolution of HLP disputes. Support to Housing, Land and Property Rights for IDPs in Nineveh

The purpose of the call for proposal is to solicit interest from existing or prospective implementing partners that wish to participate in UN-Habitat operation and contribute complementary resources. The purpose of the project is to contribute to stabilization in Iraq by promoting safe, voluntary, dignified, and sustainable returns and reintegration in the liberated areas in Nineveh, northern Iraq.

The objective of this Call for Proposal is to support to IDPs resolution of property disputes (secondary occupation) through mediation in the Nineveh Plains. By addressing 330 households in Telkaif and Hamdaniya, the mediation approach will help preserve amicable relations and to build peace and dialogue between communities. The mediation will intend to create an innovative solution to resolve property disputes on secondary occupation likewise contributing directly to the returning process of the IDPs.
