Provision of Construction Materials for UNMIS at Juba, Wau, Malakal and Abyei, Southern Sudan

1. The United Nations Regional Procurement Implementation Team (RPIT) based at Entebbe, Uganda, intends to undertake a solicitation on behalf of the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) for the provision of construction material for staff accommodation. Although the materials will be utilized at UN location in Juba, Wau, Malakal and Abyei, all materials will be delivered to UNMIS’s new Headquarters location in Juba, known as UN House Juba III, from which UNMIS will arrange delivery to various sites. 2. The categories of the items required include, but are not limited to the following: a) Construction materials (deformed bar, steel - square hollow box/ angle , etc) b) Electrodes arc welding (GI roof center/ flashing, GI wire, structural steel, etc) c) Tiles (ceramic floor/ wall tiles, grout/ adhesive material, ceiling material, etc) d) Silicon e) Painting and Varnishes (emulsion/ oil, paint thinner, rollers paint, brush, etc) f) Hinges (concealed hinges, round cabinet door knob, etc) g) Plywood h) Nails (common wire nail, finishing nail, etc) i) Timber, soft wood different sizes, (ordinary plywood, etc) j) Bolts Door, stainless steel satin finish (door hinge, lockset, etc) k) PVC Masking Tape, l) Locks, m) Sheets of Iron or Steel n) Scotch tape (joining tapes) o) Nets (Mosquito nets) p) Wire mesh for concrete reinforcement, etc
