Provision of TV Satellite Services

The United Nations (referred to as the “UN”) intends to enter into a contractual agreement for the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUJUSTH), a Subsidiary Organ of the United Nations, for the provision of Satellite TV services for its welfare facilities and senior management offices in various locations in Haiti. The duration of this contract will be for one year with an option to extend for additional one-year period subject to extension of MINUJUSTH mandate, availability of funds and satisfactory performance of the Contractor. The Contractor shall operate in accordance with applicable laws of the host government and applicable international laws. Description of Work MINUJUSTH has a requirement to provide Satellite TV services consisting of the Corporate and dedicated TV systems: Corporate System Connections and locations: - One (1) central Corporate TV System module to be located at MINUJUSTH Log Base with a capacity to supply thirty-five (35) connections (or more if required) Service capacity within a 1 km radius as per location. - One (1) central Corporate TV System module to be located at MINUJUSTH Delta Camp with a capacity to supply thirty-five (35) connections (or more if required) with a Service capacity within a 0.6 km radius as per location. - Subscription and installation to seventy (70) independent drop-points (connections) at two (2) UN locations in Port au Prince area (Log Base and Delta Camp) - Similar to TV satellite distribution signal used in hotels; no individual receivers shall be required in the rooms/offices, viewers will manage the access using a TV remote control. - The subscriptions shall have a total of twenty-four (24) channels that include: 13 English (Direct TV Premium Package), 5 French (TV Canal Sat) and 2 Spanish Channels (Sky TV Full Package or similar), 4 local channels. Minimum technical requirement and equipment for Corporate TV System: - 2x12 unit Chassis Racks with Modulators - LNB - Combiners - Launch Amplifier - Receivers - Converters - Multi-switches - Six (6) feet dish(s) and coaxial cabling to each of the 70 drop-points (connections) - The provided equipment’s voltage shall be 100-240VAC preferred or 110VAC; all equipment provided shall be covered with one (1) year guarantee and maintenance agreement. 6.2.2 TV satellite Service independent connections - One (1) connection at the SRSG Residence in Port-au-Prince - One (1) connection at the Police Commissioner Residence in Port-au-Prince - Two (2) optional “on as required basis” Dedicated Connections. - The subscriptions shall have a minimum of 24 channels as follows: • English: 13 Channels, including CNN and BBC news • French: 5 Channels, including TV5 • Spanish: 2 Channels.
