Overview of the Fund 2. The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (“UNJSPF” or “the Fund”) was established by the General Assembly of the United Nations ("UN") to provide retirement, death, disability and related benefits for the staff of the UN and other international intergovernmental organizations admitted to membership in the Fund. 3. The UNJSPF is an internally managed fund, with over US $65 billion under management as of 1 September 2018. At the same date, the Fund’s assets were invested in 26 currencies and in 100 countries (including emerging markets), in publicly traded securities as well as in private capital investments (private equity and real assets). Currently, book-keeping services for both public and private capital investments are provided by an independent master record keeper (Northern Trust). Please consult the Fund’s website at http://oim.unjspf.org/ for a breakdown of the Fund’s assets per type of investment. Purpose of this Request 1. The Office of Investment Management (“OIM”) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (“UNJSPF” or “the Fund”) is requesting information related to solutions (service providers) related to managing investment, operational and administrative data across the organization including: Equity Research, Equity Trading, Fixed Income Research, Fixed Income Trading, Treasury, Legal, HR, IT, Compliance, Risk & Performance, and Investment Operations for Middle and Back Office. Scope of work The vendor should or shall provide the following capabilities: (i) Integration as a managed service – the vendor shall offer the implementation, ongoing enhancement and operation of systems or services to integrate and make data available for applications, reporting and analytics. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (ii) Data and Application Interfaces - The vendor shall be capable of extracting and publishing structured and/or unstructured data and messages to and from on-premise and cloud-based systems and applications, webservices and databases in an efficient, secure and scalable manner. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (iii) Data Transformation – The vendor shall be capable of defining and executing transformations of datasets in an efficient and scalable manner. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (iv) Batch and Event Driven Integration – The vendor shall be capable of performing integration tasks both according to configured schedules, and as a response to specific data or system events. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (v) Office Tool and Document Management System Integration – The vendor should support integration with SharePoint for document storage, including reading and persisting of metadata associated with such documents. The vendor should also support integration with applications of the Office365 suite. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (vi) Workflow Management – The vendor should facilitate the configuration and orchestration of workflows, including user interfaces for reviewing, interacting with, entering and repairing data that is persisted as part of the process. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (vii) Operational Monitoring – The vendor should provide operational monitoring of application and data integration and workflows including alerts/notifications, reports and dashboard interfaces. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (viii) Reporting - The vendor should make data available for reporting, ad hoc queries, data exports through APIs (application programing interfaces) and/or published schemas to external applications such as Excel and/or other reporting tools. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (ix) Data Model Extensibility – The vendor should be readily extensible to support new data structures as they are required for new system integration or reporting needs. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (x) Deployment - The vendor should deploy the system including all required technology tools and platforms as a hosted solution, SaaS, or cloud deployment. Do you provide these capabilities (yes/no)? (xi) Security – The vendor should follow best practices for data and cloud security, and allow for the audit of user access, usage and configuration of permissions.
