1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for Unarmed Security Services at UNAMI Premises in Kheitan, Kuwait for the initial period of one year with an option of extension additional two years, one year at a time under the same terms and conditions subject to satisfactory performance, availability of funds and continuation of UNAMI mandate. 1.0.1 The purpose of this contract is to secure for the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) an open ended contract for intends to secure the services of a professional contractor to provide, manage and operate security services at the UNAMI facility in Kheitan, Kuwait. 1.0.2 The successful proposer shall provide security services and protection to the personnel, assets and premises of the UNAMI, at its Kheitan, Kuwait facility. This shall include but not limited to the following: • Access Control • Vehicle Searches • Detailed Screening of Persons and Property • CCTV • Patrolling • Prevention of unauthorized removal of UN property • Unauthorized persons • Fire Drills • First Aid • Crime Scene Protection • Maintenance of Records 1.0.3 The UNAMI intends to award a contract for one year, with the option to extend at UNAMI’s discretion under the same terms and conditions for two (2) additional one year periods. This contract will be awarded to the proposer that clearly demonstrates through a written proposal a high degree of experience, ability, competency and best-practice in security services. 1.0.4 A Mandatory Site Visit and pre-tendering conference shall be arranged and conducted for interested vendors in order to acquaint all participants with environment, scope of work and services required. 1.0.5 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies will be requested to complete a UNAMI Vendor Registration in www.ungm.org (New Vendors Only). . 2.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Works, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender. 3.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFP document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
