Description
The United Nations Office Space Planning Unit (OSPU) of the Facilities Management Service (FMS) requests the services of qualified companies to purchase various types of used loose and systems furniture from the United Nations Headquarters in New York. All of the required services and liquidation will be expected to meet appropriate environmental standards for material disposal and the extent to which the products may be recycled. 1. Office Furniture Systems – furniture product where some of the system panels are tackable and have an acoustic rating and allow for components to hang off the system. Electrical components will also be available for recycling and disposal. 2. Wood Case Goods – furniture product that is not limited to desks, credenzas, filing cabinets, coffee tables, computer tables, chairs, club chairs, sofas and conference tables of various sizes with matching chairs. Seating may be available in leather or vinyl and in various colors. 4. Task Seating –furniture product that may have five star base, pneumatic height and casters. Some may be side chairs with no adjustments. 5. Conference and Training Tables and Seating –furniture product that may have a wide range of sizes, shapes and finish options in both wood and laminate. Seating may have 4 legs and both hard and soft surfaces. 6. Office Metal Case Goods –furniture product that is loose office furniture like desks, desk returns, book cases, filing cabinets and complementary accessories. Some of this product has been in service since 1947 and is being brought out of service in 2010. 7. Miscellaneous Furniture – This includes but is not limited to cafeteria/dining room tables and chairs, lockers, and includes accessories, like hooks, benches, etc. Please provide (attach) one page cut sheet of your service and experence offerings with your response to the EOI. Responding service agents can show appropriate local representation and experience in large amounts of furniture removal programs.
