Recruitment of a Firm to Facilitate IEBC Post-Election Evaluation of 2017 Elections Submission deadline has been extended to FRIDAY 4 MAY 2018 AT 14:00 HRS (2.00 P.M KENYAN TIME).

Under Article 88 (4) (h) of the Constitution, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is mandated to conduct Post-Election Evaluation (PEE) following major electoral events such as general elections, referendum and/or by-elections. Following the recently concluded General Election held on 8th August 2017 and the Fresh Presidential Election held of 26th October 2017, the IEBC has undertaken to facilitate comprehensive, multi-stakeholder-based PEE during the period of April – June 2018; this exercise will involve the Commission, the Secretariat at all levels including county level and also other electoral stakeholders including the electorate at large.

Objective
To make a critical assessment of the performance of the Commission on the conduct of the 8th August 2017 General Elections and the 26th October 2017 Fresh Presidential Election based on the Commission’s Strategic Plan 2015 – 2020, Election Operational Plan 2015-2017 and the international best practices in conduct of elections.
The evaluation will serve to establish what worked, what did not work as expected, identify areas of improvement, lessons-learned and reform for more credible, transparent and peaceful future elections in Kenya.
