The United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS) is pleased to invite competent Bidders/Contractors to submit their respective competitive proposal for the Construction of Incinerator House and Auxiliary Buildings for Incinerators in Adama, Bahirdar and Hawassa Sites in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract and the “Scope of the Works (SoW)” herein uploaded under file ref. “ITB Scope of Works and Evaluation Methods”.

New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please consider the following clarifications in the preparation of your respective submissions:1) Please advise if you require an incinerator and what specifications. If not , does your exisiting incinerator require maintenance?Response: The ITB is for a construction service for the construction of an incineration room/ facility and auxiliary buildings.2) In the ITB Scope of the works(SoW) GENERAL INFORMATION the construction duration is stated as 120 cal.days where as IV LOCATION,DURATION AND TIMEFRAME OF THE WORK/DELIVERABLES/OUTPUT puts the duration as 6 months.Response: the work has to be completed within a maximum of 120 days. The 6 months is for a defect notice period 3) We have some documents in soft copy. How can we put stamps? Is it must to put stamp and sign on each page of the attachment. Or in which part of the document you need our stamps and signature? Response: Bidders may print, sign and scan their documents for their submission4) Does it necessary (must ) to have all the required equipments and personnel or it is evaluated as per our submission? Response: bidders must have the minimum required equipment as specified in the ITBKind regards,

New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please note the below clarification in the preparation of your submission:1. Do we prepare bank guaraty/performance bond or you need only the confermation letter for Returnable Bid Schedule 7Response: No. Performace guarantee shall be furnished by a bidder that will be awarded the contract. 2. As i understand that we are only submite the bid document on esourcing. i.e no need of submitting hard copy material.Response: All submissions need to be made electronically on the system (e-sourcing). UNOPS will not receive / accept any submission in any way.Best regards,

New clarification added: Dea Bidders,Please find below clarifications the questions raised by potential bidders:1. Do we prepare bank guaraty/performance bond or you need only the confermation letter for Returnable Bid Schedule 7Response: Bidders are not expected to submit a performance with their submission. Upon award of a contract, the selected bidder is expected to submit a performance Guranteee as indiacted in the ITB2. As i understand that we are only submite the bid document on esourcing. i.e no need of submitting hard copy material.Response: bidders should not submit any document in hard copies. Every document should be submitted electronically/ uploaded on the e-sourcing plat form.Regards,

Bidder(s) which is/are not accept all provision of GCC will be disqualified.2. Question:Should key personnel whose CV to be submitted be currently employed by a bidder?Answer:Not at all. Bidders are allowed to submit CVs of Key Personnel who meet minimum criteria and be sure these key personnel be fully engaged upon contract award.3. Question:Is site visit mandatory?Answer:Site visit is not mandatory. Prospect Bidders/Contractors are strongly advised to on their convenience.Bidders/Contractors can also visit the specific sites using google earth using/inserting the X-Y Coordinate indicated in the site planUNOPS will also arrange the site visit upon request 4. Question:Is Pre-bid Meeting mandatory?Answer:It is not mandatory which is also clearly indicated in the ITB bid particulars.5. Question: Is there a possibility to extend the bid period?Answer:There is no intention of extending the bid period as the client has given UNOPS a tight construction timeframe. Hence, prospect Bidders/Contractors are strongly advised to mobilize their resources to conduct material/labor cost research, prepare bidding document and submit it within the submission deadline. 6. Question:Is there any Price Index to refer to?Answer:UNOPS doesn’t have Price Index.
