Description
The UNESCAP intends to construct within and around its existing Conference Centre (UNCC) building to create additional office space, library, and dining area on the ground and first floors, as follows; General Scope of Works: • Demolition of existing flooring, walls, doors, windows and ceiling within the existing building. • Removal and demolition of existing garden down to existing posttension slab, concrete curb, concrete slab, soil, and water proof membrane. • Construction of new two storey light weight office, library and dining space including a mezzanine floor area, complete with waterproofing. • Construction of new mezzanine structure within existing UNCC. • Integration of the new structure into the existing building. In particular first floor dining space into the existing first floor, ground floor into existing corridor. Floor evenness (levelling) and roofing connections to existing building are important. Interior works: • All new fit out work for entire constructed area, including furniture, partitions, glazing, flooring (carpet, vinyl), and elevator (ground to mezzanine). • Installation of new HVAC system, using existing chilled water or new gas systems. • Installation of new electrical system including distribution board. • Installation of new network LAN system. • Modification of existing drainage and piping. General dimensions: • Existing interior area is ~430 m2 • Existing garden and outside area to be constructed is ~360 m2 • Finalised constructed estimated areas:  Ground floor is ~830 m2  Mezzanine floor is ~450 m2  First floor is ~120 m2
