1. Description of requirements

UNICEF Supply Division welcomes Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible companies that can supply re-usable devices suitable for accurately measuring, dispensing and administering of liquid oral/enteral dosage forms of pharmaceutical and related products. In particular, UNICEF expects to initiate a tender exercise during 2009 for the following products:

• Oral dispensing syringes, 1ml, calibrated, graduated and marked  in increments of 0.1ml 
• Oral dispenser, 2ml, calibrated and graduated in increments of 0.1 ml and marked at least in increments of 0.5ml
• Oral dispenser, 5ml, calibrated and graduated in increments of 0.1 ml and marked at least in increments of 0.5ml
• Oral dispensing spoons 2.5ml with marks at 1.25ml and 2.5ml
• Oral dispensing spoons 5ml with marks at 1.25ml, 2.5ml and 5ml
• Oral dispensing cups 5 ml with marks at 2.5ml and 5ml
• Oral dispensing cups 10ml with marks at 2.5ml, 5ml, 7.5ml and 10ml
• Any other suitable oral medicine measuring and administration device
• Dispensing syringes that can be used for both oral and enteral administration are desired
• Accessories such as universal bottle cap adaptors, syringe tip caps

2. Eligibility

This REOI is intended for manufacturers of oral syringes or dispensing devices as well as traders/wholesalers with experience in the sourcing and supply of these products.

Suppliers that submit an EOI are expected to be certified as compliant with relevant standards, norms and regulatory requirements for such products

3. Procedure for submission of EOI

Interested suppliers are encouraged to complete the attached EOI form and return a scanned copy to UNICEF by e-mail to: Mrs Mariet Brebels Elsted (melsted@unicef.org), on or before the indicated deadline.

Notes:

• Price quotations are not required and will not be considered at this stage.
• Submitting an EOI does not automatically guarantee inclusion in the final invitee list, if and when the solicitation document is issued.
• UNICEF reserves the right to require compliance with additional technical or contractual provisions at the time when the final solicitation document.
• UNICEF reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time
