Description
1. The UNPD Regional Procurement Office, intends to undertake a solicitation on behalf of the UN Regional Missions in Africa, seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified, duly registered and licensed companies for establishment of a Contract, for the supply and delivery Assorted Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) on a long term basis under a Regional Systems Contract. 2. The requirement will mainly encompass the supply and delivery assorted Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to be delivered to FCA locations as determined by the Contractor and/or by DAP to specified locations in Africa such as Uganda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, Mali, Sudan, South Sudan and Kenya among others. The items will include hard hats, safety goggles, leather gloves, coverall, safety boots, Nitrile Gloves, Cut Protection Gloves, Single-use sterile rubber surgical gloves, Elbow Pads, Kneepads, Personal Flotation Devices (air/marine), Personal Flotation Devices, Reflective Vests, Rain Coats, Winter Jackets, Winter (under) Pants, Winter (under) Tops, Disposable coveralls, Welding Aprons, Harness and Fall Arrest Systems, Coveralls, Welding Leggings, Rubber Boots (long), Safety Boots, etc. in support of UN Field Missions operating in the Region. 3. The proposed term of Contract(s) shall be for an initial two (2) years period with an option to extend for an additional three one (1) year successive periods (2+1+1+1), at the sole discretion of the UN, to extend under the same terms and conditions and at the same prices as agreed by the UN and the successful vendor(s) subject to UN budgets and mandates as determined by the General Assembly and the Security Council of the United Nations and the satisfactory performance of the vendor(s). 4. The UN reserves the right to split the contract award amongst multiple suppliers and any resulting Contract(s) shall be non-exclusive. 5. Companies interested in being considered for shortlisting for receipt of the UNPD/RPO solicitation document are requested to submit a clearly written Expression of Interest therein specifying the company's profile, as per Vendor Response Form attached hereunder providing: 5.1 Address, contact person, active telephone numbers as well as functional e-mail contacts; 5.2 Company’s registration ID number (if already registered with UN) and UNGM registration number (www.ungm.org). 5.3 Company must be registered in UNGM atleast at Level 1 in order to be considered to participate in this UN solicitation. 5.4 Confirm the company’s capability to provide these goods to the United Nations; and 5.5 Indicate commitment that if the solicitaion is issued, your company is ready to offer its services by the set bid close date and a copy of this included as part of the Technical Evaluation submission. 6. Note that companies that have previously submitted EOI for similar goods with UN must re-submit full documentation as detailed above. 7. Please note, this is NOT an invitation for submission of bids. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested to participate in the solicitation when issued. 8. A detailed Scope of Requirement (SOR) with technical requirement, estimates required as well as expected delivery dates will be provided within the UN's tender document which will be sent out to all qualified companies / vendors shortlisted for receipt of official UNPD/RPO solicitation. 9. The UNPD/RPO will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider qualified firms including that have expressed their interest providing the required information as to their ability to fulfill UNPD/RPO’s requirement. No further details can be made available prior to the issuance of the tender as this stage is only to identify interested and qualifying vendors for this requirement. 10. The UNPD/RPO reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued or award thereafter. The tender and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations. 11. Interested vendors must complete and submit page 4 (i.e. Vendor Response Form) of this EOI document indicating the EOI Number in the subject. At this stage, please do not submit any additonal information and no questions will be answered.
