The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has a mandate to support the implementation of the Security Council Resolution 1701. As part of the Mission’s support programme, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from fully qualified companies wishing to be considered for inclusion in a tender for the following: The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has a requirement for placement of a Long Term Agreement (LTA) to construct Various Steel Structures at UNIFIL Headquarters (HQ) and at UNIFIL Positions inside the UNIFIL Area of Operations (AO), South Lebanon, on an “as and when required” basis. The different categories of steel works to be covered (including labour, materials, equipment, etc.) are as listed below: 1. Handrails comprising base plates, anchor bolts, hallow steel pipes/boxes; 2. Steel frame structures including trusses, columns, beams, and related accessories not exceeding 4 meter height; 3. Gratings for open channels and manholes comprising flat bars, angle irons and metal sheets ; 4. Doors (not exceeding 2.5 meter height and 1.5 meter width) comprising steel boxes, steel sheets, angle irons, and hinges ; 5. Safety grill for doors (not exceeding 2.5 meter height and 1.5 meter width) comprising iron bars, steel boxes, hinges, angle iron; 6. Windows (not exceeding 1.6 meter height and 1.8 meter width) comprising steel boxes, steel sheets, angle irons, and hinges; 7. Safety grill for Windows (not exceeding 1.6 meter height and 1.8 meter width) comprising steel boxes, steel sheets, angle irons; 8. Laying Aluzinc sheets cover on metal structure such as shades, corridor walk ways, vehicle parking etc. The Contractor will provide all materials, labor and equipment required to complete the works in every respect, whether such materials are required as part of the permanent structures or temporary. These are such that shall be required for fabrication or erection or maintenance including specifically structural steel plates, flats, bars, welding rods, rivets, bolts and nuts, paint, welding sets in the shop and at site. Contractor shall provide all workshop facilities, derricks, cranes, pulley blocks, wire ropes, hemp or manila ropes, winches, erection cleats and temporary braces or supports and all other materials required to deliver the Works complete in every respect. For the purpose of establishing a contract LTA for a period of one (1) year, with possibility of extension for additional one (1) year. , UNIFIL will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and consider inviting those companies that have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNIFIL’s requirement. Vendor Response Forms must be completed in full and supported by the requested information providing the evidence of the company’s ability to satisfy UNIFIL's requirement. The UNIFIL reserves the right to reject Expressions of Interest documents that are incomplete, or are received after the stated deadline. 3. Companies that are not registered with UMGM cannot be included in the List of Invitees. Only those companies that are registered at Level 1 would be eligible for award of contract pertaining to this requirement. Registration with UNGM (WWW.UNGM.ORG) is free of charge and mandatory for all companies wishing to participate in the UN solicitations.
