Description
1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) is interested in establishing a Snack Bar facility at the UNFICYP Headquarters premises located within the United Nations Protected Area (UNPA), Nicosia, for which a Service Provider will be identified through a competitive tendering exercise. It is anticipated that the proposed contract shall be for an initial period of one year with an option to extend for two additional one-year periods. 2. UNFICYP will provide pre-fabricated buildings, an open dining area for the Snack Bar facility and an open area for Barbecue (BBQ) on an 'as is' basis, including utilities (water and electricity) on a cost reimbursable basis. The Service Provider at its own cost shall fully furnish, operate and manage the facility six days a week (Monday to Saturday) excluding UNFICYP holidays. The Snack Bar shall cater for hot/cold snacks such as light meals, sandwiches, salads, sweet/savory pastries, cakes and refreshments such as hot/cold drinks, freshly squeezed juices and other beverages as preferred by the clientele. 3. The Snack Bar will not be the sole catering outlet. On a daily basis there are approximately 300 personnel accessing the UNPA and a portion of them may opt for the proposed Snack Bar services. UNFICYP does not guarantee that any minimum number of personnel, visitors and contractors who have daily access to the UNPA will use the proposed Snack Bar services. 4. In this regard UNFICYP would like to identify qualified Service Providers that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercise. Interested vendors are requested to express their interest by providing all relevant information and complete company details and experience profile using the attached Vendor Response Form, also available in UNFICYP website www.unficyp.org 5. The interest should be sent to the attention of Panayiotis Savva either via fax +357-22-614493 or via email unficyp-procurement@un.org no later than Tuesday, 28 February 2017. 6. The UNGM registration is mandatory for responding to this EOI. Interested vendors are strongly recommended to submit the required documentation at the United Nations Global Marketplace at www.ungm.org for Basic registration. Information on the prerequisites for Basic registration can be found at https://www.ungm.org/Public/Pages/RegistrationProcess. 7. The UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. The UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process.
