The United Nations Global Service Center/United Nations Logistics Base (UNGSC/UNLB), with its Headquarters located in Brindisi, Italy, seeks an appropriately qualified contractor for a Turn-Key Project for the Provision, Installation and Commissioning of a Spray Paint Booth to be located at the GSC/UNLB in Brindisi, Italy. The Contractor shall also provide related maintenance, repair and technical services for a minimum of two years from the commissioning of the paint booth. The Paint Booth is to accommodate a wide range of vehicles, trucks, material handling equipment, machinery and trailers. Its filtration system shall be able to cope with a wide variety of paint types, including water-based paints, cellulose-based paints, synthetics, enamels, wax preservation treatments, two-pack systems and isocyanates. A central motorized separation door shall be fitted midway. Air Treatment Units’ (A.T.U.) and ‘Centrifugal Fan Units shall allow running both sides of the paint booth independently in all painting phases: painting phase, drying phase, etc.. Compressed air connections lines including dryer and pressure regulators shall be fitted on each side. LOCATION: Works will be performed within the GSC/UNLB compound at the Aeroporto Militare “O. Pierozzi” in Brindisi. Exact location is in the Logistics Area of the compound, on a large yard before Buildings 118B, 118C & 118D right in front of the sea. The project will be divided in three phases: Phase One for the delivery of Executive Designs, Operations and Maintenance Plan, Phase Two for the Construction/Installation activities, and Phase Three for the Maintenance, Repair and technical Services. The bid will be assigned as lump sum (l’appalto e’ aggiudicato a corpo) based on UNGSC/UNLB guidelines and concept drawings. A more detailed summary of the works is as follows: PHASE 1 - Design - Delivery of Operative Safety Plan (P.O.S.) with all required documentation as per Italian Safety Laws ('Testo Unico della Sicurezza', D.Lgs 81/2008); - Provision of Executive Project/Design (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeraulic and Structural components); - Provision of Fire Prevention Design; - Provision of executive Work Program (Gantt Chart); - Provision of Maintenance Service Plan and Schedule. PHASE 2 – Construction and Installation a. General Works: 1. Site preparation and Site cleaning 2. Supervision of Works 3. System Certification and documentation 4. Test and Certification b. Provision and installation of one prefabricated spray paint booth, compliant with the technical requirements, including the necessary water, sewage and electrical connections; c. Provision and installation of external cover in metal frame and insulated sandwich type panels, compliant with the technical requirements; d. Construction of a fire rated REI 120 ‘vestibule filter room’; e. Provision and installation of powder fire extinguishers; f. Certifications - Commissioning of the Paint Booth and provision of Systems Certifications, based on the executive design already provided. PHASE 13 – Maintenance, Repair and Technical Services Two (2) Years of Maintenance, Repair and Technical Support Services. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials required to perform the project, including all tests and certifications as per Italian Legislation in force.
