Provision of Bulk Diesel Fuel to the United Nations Logistics Base in Brindisi, Italy

The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) intends to establish a long-term contract for the provision and delivery of Bulk Diesel Fuel at its premises in Brindisi-Italy. The Contract will be established for an initial period of 3 years, with the option to be renewed for 2 additional periods of one-year each, for a maximum contract period of 5 years. The estimated yearly consumption is around 100,000 litres. The bulk diesel fuel will be supplied to UNGSC in the quantities specified in the relevant Purchase Order, issued on “as and when required” basis. Each delivery shall be of a minimum of 5,000 litres up to maximum of 25,000 litres. The offered Bulk Diesel Fuel must comply with the European regulations UNI EN 590, to the pertinent laws and to customs regulations. The supply of Bulk Diesel Fuel will be performed in accordance with the below requirements: - Contractor shall be authorized to carry out the ‘Deposito Fiscale Carburanti’; - All vehicles and equipment being used by the Contractor during the delivery services must be authorized for the transportation of fuels. - Contractor will provide workforces, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, transport and un-load the diesel fuel at no additional cost for UNGSC/UNLB; - Contractor will provide authorized and qualified personnel to perform the distribution of the fuel and the correct compilation of relevant delivery documentation; - Contractor shall have an appropriate insurance coverage for damages/incidents/accidents related to the subject services. It must be noted that the UN is exempt from direct taxes and duties, including ACCISA Each service/delivery must be carried out within 3 working days from the receipt of a written Purchase Order from UNGSC.
