The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) is located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from qualified companies with the required expertise and experience to provide Campus Architect Professional Services to support and implement a multi-year, multi-million dollar Strategic Capital Review (SCR) and project plan. The firms would be expected to provide support for a campus plan including but not limited to all planning and programming, engineering disciplines, architectural, cost consultancy, quantity surveying, space planning, schematic and detailed design, construction document preparation, preparation of tender dossier, construction administration and close-out. The SCR mainly focus on the west campus building; Congo, Nile, Niger and Limpopo totaling approximately 40,000 m2 built between 1961 and 1971. The execution of this multi-year, on-call agreement requires a multi-disciplined architectural/engineering firm with at least 20 years of international equivalent or similar project experience. The firms are required to demonstrate experience on preparing and working on campus plans and developing mulit-year as well as multi-million dollar programmes/projects on a campus equivalent to UNECA of atleast 5 hectares with a building portfolio in excess of 50,000 m2. Due to the nature and length of this contract in Ethiopia, firms must demonstrate satisfactory local and international professional expertise or a partnership/strategic alliances with a competent and experienced firms.
