1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit proposal for the Provision of Dedicated Unrestricted Internet delivered by Fiber for UNAMI/KJSO Office in Kuwait continuing the existing service, with the initial contract of 1 year and a possible extension for two (2) more years (1-year-at-a-time), subject to continuation of UNAMI/KJSO mandate in Kuwait, availability of funds and satisfactory performance by the prospective contractor(s) 2.0 UNAMI's requirement can be summarized as follows: 2.1 UNAMI seeks a qualified provider with capacity to provide dedicated unrestricted internet delivered by fiber to UNAMI/KJSO office in Kuwait continuing existing service. 2.2 UNAMI SPECIFICALLY seeks (a) Circuit delivering 80mbps download and 70mbps upload dedicated bandwidth delivered by MoC fiber terminated in UNAMI main server room along with a /26 (62 usable) range of global IP addresses; and (b) Circuit delivering 40mbps download and 30mbps upload dedicated bandwidth delivered by MoC fiber terminated in UNAMI secondary server room along with a /27 (14 usable) range of global IP addresses. NOTES: * The 2 circuits maybe delivered by separate service providers meaning that companies may bid on either of the 2 circuits or BOTH circuits IF interested companies guarantee that internet uplink outside Kuwait for the 2 circuits are on different paths out of country. * Service must be up/down gradable in increments of 10mbps up to 100mbps on both circuits should UNAMI capacity requirements change in the period and it is desirable if the companies can provide source/destination based QoS (priority based) so as to ensure priority is given to VPN traffic. 2.3 The effective date of the contract implementation shall be 01 January 2017, with full capacity mobilization required in place and ready to perform the service provision as per SOW instructions and the contract agreement. The contract duration shall be valid for twelve (24) months, with an option to extend the term of the contract, on the same terms and conditions and within mutually agreed cost parameters for additional year (12) months or any portion thereof. 2.4 The service should be executed by qualified and experienced company, based on Scope of work (SOW), Specifications, Plans, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided later on by UNAMI to qualified companies who express their interest and respond to this EOI. 3.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies should complete a UNGM Registration at level 1 or above. 4.0 Please note the following: 4.1 This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid/proposal. 4.2 UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for an document. 4.3 UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
