The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) invites interested companies, with knowledge and expertise in the installation of flood barrier, to submit their expression of interest to participate in a competitive bidding exercise, for the supply and installation of a Rapid Deployment flood barrier system at the United Nations Complex in Bangkok, Thailand. The UN ESCAP compound consists of three major building, as following: 1. The Secretariat Building, 15 floor of main office building with one basement for mechanicall/electrical for both Secretariat and Service Buildings; 2. The Service Building, 5 floor office buildidng with one basement parking; 3. The United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC), with 2 basements for mechanical and electrical plant and parking of the premises. The requirements for Flood Barrier System will include: (1) removal and/or modification of surrounding structures to ensure protection of the compound; and (2) supply and installation of a new rapid deployment and fixed flood barrier system for an approximate length of 100 metres along the perimeter of the premises. The rapid deployment barriers shall be of light weight, non corrosive materials and fit for purpose for the location, be a fully removable system including all frames, sills and jamb assemblies. The works shall include all works to the surrounding surfaces to ensure a water tight connection. The fixed barriers shall be of reinforced concrete structure along the main fence line for an approximate length of 20 metres The requirements for Sump Pit will include: (1) removal and/or modification of surrounding structures to ensure protection of the compound. (2) supply and installation of 4 (four) new sump pits and necessary bore piling. (3) supply and installation of new electric pump sets in accordance with the capacity requirements. (4) supply and installation of all necessary piping, gates, and valves for a complete functional system.
