RENTAL OF FORKLIFT, CRANE AND TRUCK FOR UNAMI COMPOUND (UNFSB) AT BAGHDAD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ...

1.0 UNAMI seeks to engage the services of a qualified vendor with capacity to provide rental of Forklift, Crane and Flatbed Truck for its use at UNAMI FSB Compound Baghdad International Airport (BIAP), Iraq. The required Forklift, Crane and Flatbed Truck/40ft will be hired on “as-and-when required basis". 2.0 Method: -Vendor will provide Forklift, Crane and Truck operator(s) and should have been qualified as forklift, crane and truck operator with sufficient knowledge of operation’s area (Iraq). The Forklift, Crane and Truck operator must have sufficient helpers during operations. 3.0 TIME FRAME: -The contract will cover the period of one year from the day the contract is signed by both parties. The contract may be extended to additional two years, one year at a time subject to satisfactory performance of the contractor, continuation of the mandate and the availability of funds. 4.0 The service should be executed by the qualified and experienced company, based on Scope of work (SOW), Specifications, Plans, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided later on by UNAMI to qualified companies who express their interest and respond to this EOI. 5.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly, would issue an Invitation To Bid (ITB) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies should complete a UNGM Registration at Level 1 or above. 6.0 Mandatory Requirement: Capability of the vendor to provide suitable Crane within 24 hours after receiving the order Availability of suitable Crane Operator Minimum of 2 year experience in similar works List of similar works completed in the last five years and emphasizing dealing with UN Agencies Provision of all safety devices and first aid in the Cranes, trucks and forklifts Insurance for Operators, Helpers and Third Party (UNAMI) Quotation of all necessary accessories required for the works 7.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for ITB document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
