The United Nations Global Service Center/United Nations Logistics Base (UNGSC/UNLB), with its Headquarters located in Brindisi, Italy, seeks an appropriately qualified contractor for a Turn-Key Project for the Renovation and Maintenance of three Buildings at the UNGSC/UNLB in Brindisi, Italy. These buildings of 9720 total square meters, are located in the Logistics Area of the UNLB compund, 40 meters far from the port dock and are metallic sheds. They were erected in the 1920's for the maintenance of the aircrafts during the Second World War and are currently used as warehouses. Each building is accessed on its main façade by doorways, they have concrete floors and external curtain walls in corrugated metal sheets and metal roofs covered with sandwich panels and skylights in polycarboante . These three structures require renovation and maintenance, and the Works/Services included are as follows: PHASE 1 - Study and Design: -Inspection of the Building and Preparation of Executive Project including technical report; -Provision of Operative Safety Plan (P.O.S.) with all required documentation as per Italian Law 81/08; -Inspection and survey of the existing electrial system and fire suppression system in order to provide the relevant executive drawings and the “Dichiarazione di Rispondenza” as per Italian Law 27/2008; -Procedure to obtain the C.P.I. – “Certificato di Prevenzione Incendi” from the local Fire Brigade authority. PHASE 2 – Construction: -Site Preparation -Provision and Installation of no. 3 motorized electromechanical sliding folding doors (dimension 8800 x 6000 mm) with proper metal frame and proper electrical system; -Provision and installation of new emergency exit doors on the main facade of each building; -Provision and installation of galvanized metal net and metal L type stringer to stop the entrance of pigeons ore other animals for each building; -Maintenance, Provision and Installation of polycarbonate panels on the roof of each warehouse/building; -Maintenance and Removal of corrugated sheets corroded or damaged and Provision and Installation of similar metal sheets on the main facade of Building 118D; -Painting of the external corrugated sheets on the main facade of Building 118D; -Maintenance and partial renovation of small office buildings adiacent to the buildings; -Commissioning of the renovated buildings, Safety Certification of all installations and provision of System -Certification and documentation; -Preparation and delivery of “As-Built” Drawings at the end of the construction stage. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials required to perform the project, including all tests and certifications as per Italian Legislation in force. The full technical requirements and details will be provided with a formal solicitation document to be issued at a later stage soon after the closing date for this EOI. In order for the Expression of Interest to be considered, the company must be registered with United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) by visiting the website: www.ungm.org. In order to be awarded a Contract/Purchase Order, the Vendor must be registered with the UN Secretariat through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) for the required Level of Registration, which is “Level 1”, by the time of finalization of bid evaluation before the award.
