Provision of Internet Services at UNAMI Compound in Erbil and Kirkuk, Iraq

1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit proposal for the Provision of second Internet Service Provider in UNAMI Compound in Erbil and Kirkuk, Iraq with the initial contract of 1 year and a possible extension for two (1+1) more years, subject to continuation of UNAMI mandate in Iraq, availability of funds and satisfactory performance by the prospective contractor(s) 2.0 The successful Contractor shall provide services alongside UNAMI Iraq primary service provider in the North of Iraq (Kurdish region). They must have staff based in Erbil for effective 24/7/365 support onsite capability in the UN Office there and next day onsite support in Kirkuk. 3.0 UNAMI SPECIFICALLY seek an experienced service provider with proven service record in providing satisfactory service to the UN in north Iraq and the high level of service required! 3.1 UNAMI offices in FOB warrior, Kirkuk Iraq, require 20mbit download capacity and 20mbit upload capacity guaranteed. 3.2 UNAMI offices in Erbil, Erbil Iraq requires 50mbit download capacity and 50mbit upload capacity guaranteed. 4.0 In order to ensure a minimum level of service UNAMI wishes to ensure a minimum of service availability by having the service provider FREE of charge providing UNAMI with small VSAT capability. 5.0 As UNAMI is already provided services by microwave. UNAMI does not wish to make any further capital investments in equipment’s and it is therefore a requirement that service provider use UNAMI existing equipment specified in SOW be given in the upcoming Bidding documents. 6.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) with detailed specifications and SOW to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. 7.0 Please note the following: • This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for an document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
