Description

The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) located at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a Request for Proposal (RFP) it intends to issue for the outsourcing of the UNOG bookshop and its operations.

The United Nations Bookshop is a specialized outlet selling United Nations’ and specialized agencies publications, related books and souvenir items to the general public, UN staff members and delegations of Permanent Missions at its premises in Geneva.

The contractor shall be responsible for the day to day operation of the bookshop, including the overall management; selection, development, procurement and sale of publications, souvenirs as well as related services; bookkeeping and administration; stock-keeping and logistics. The UN shall approve the range of products to be sold at the bookshop. The contract will have a duration of up to five years and shall start on 1 January 2015.

The operation of the bookshop shall be financially self sustainable
