Description
The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from reputable companies to provide construction services for the development of a helicopter platform in Kidal, Mali. This work involves the design and construction of rigid pavement for parking, taxying, maintenance, take-off and landing of helicopters used in MINUSMA, in accordance with International Civil Aviation (ICAO) standards. The total surface of pavement required under this EOI includes approximately 20,500 m2 in reinforced Portland cement concrete and approximately 19,100 m2 of stabilized surface to be constructed. Each work is to be considered as a separate package. Concrete shall be designed to achieve a minimum flexural strength of 4300 kPA at 28 days, using a minimum of 300kg of cementitious material per cubic meter. Cement, aggregate and reinforcement shall meet the relevant ASTM standards. All Portland concrete shall be mixed in a central mix plant, hand mixing shall be prohibited. Pavement surfaces shall be finished with equipment providing a uniform broom finish. Detailed scope of requirements with technical specifications, quantities required as well as expected delivery dates will be provided within the UN's Request for Proposals (RFP) which will be sent out to all vendors responding to this expression of interest (EOI). No further details can be made available prior to the issuance of the RFP.
