Description
The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) has the requirement for a long-term agreement for the for asbestos and rockwool inspection, detection, removal and disposal services at the UNGSC in Brindisi, Italy. The service shall be carried out at the UNGSC premises by a licensed asbestos abatement contractor on an “as and when required basis” and consists of a series of operations aimed to abate the presence of asbestos, as per the following main steps: - Asbestos Detection Services: Site Inspection, sampling and analysis of suspected asbestos materials. - Asbestos and Rockwool Abatement Works: Encapsulation or containment of asbestos-containing materials, followed by their safe removal and proper disposal. - Site-related Works and Services: Equipment rentals, scaffolding, fencing, utility work, site cleaning, and labor for technicians and operators. - Miscellaneous: Temporary relocation of goods and provision of labor for various tasks, such as recycling bins, signboards, and other movable items, as necessary to facilitate the execution of the works. - All-Inclusive Services: Preparation of safety documentation, Asbestos Abatement reports, site preparation and related activities. Subcontracting is permitted for minor activities. However, the core business, specifically the asbestos abatement and disposal services remains the exclusive responsibility of the Contractor. The resulting contract will initially be established for three (3) years. The UNGSC retains the sole option to extend it for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each (3+1+1). The complete technical requirements and administrative instructions will be provided with a solicitation document to be issued at a later stage following the closing date for this EOI. This REOI does not constitute a solicitation. The UNGSC reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements during the REOI and solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your Company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation documents when issued.
