Construction of 100 Social Housing Units in Ramadi, Anbar Governorate, Iraq

United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Iraq, seeks the interest of qualified vendors and Service Providers to participate in an upcoming tender solicitation for the Construction of 100 Social Housing Units in Ramadi, Anbar Governorate, Iraq. The project aims to promote integrated approaches to affordable green housing in two pilot areas, aiming to create jobs, empower small-medium enterprises, and mitigate climate change impacts in the housing sector. UNON invites companies to express their interest for pre-qualification, by filling out the vendor response form as well as submitting the relevant pre-qualification documents via the email; njuguna1@un.org cc unon-rfx-procurement@un.org by 04 August 2025. The EOI submission should state the EOI reference number and title in the subject header. The scope of works shall include but not limited to: • Civil Works: Construction of the reinforced concrete foundation, slab beams, walls, roof, internal and external plastering works, masonry works (clay brick), internal and external painting works, tiles work, installation of doors and windows, false ceilings work, waterproofing work, removal of debris, …etc, • Sanitary/Plumbing Works: Installation of distribution water piping with all accessories, installation of complete sewage drainage system, installation of toilet seats, kitchen sinks, shower, hand wash basins, installation of drainage system with gutters and all accessories, installation of complete water station system with reservoirs and booster pumps, ...etc. • Electrical and other equipment Works: Installations of complete wiring system for all electrical appliances, installation of lighting system as per given specifications, installation of wall sockets, installation of ceiling fans, installation of ventilation exhaust fans, water heaters, distribution boards, installation of heating and cooling system, installation of firefighting and alarm system, installation of fire extinguishers, installation of smoke detectors, etc. Important* Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its sole purpose is to pre-qualify vendors who would be shortlisted to participate in the subsequent upcoming tenders. The pre-qualification criteria is attached to this REOI. Submitting a reply to this REOI does not therefore automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents. Only vendors who in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified, upon completion of an objective evaluation of the EOI submissions may receive the final tender solicitation documents. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT: Applicants must express their interest for pre-qualification by completing the following two steps: a) Filling and submitting the Vendor Response Form in UNGM; and then, b) Submitting the relevant pre-qualification documents as per the evaluation criteria attached to this REOI, to njuguna1@un.org and cc unon-rfx-procurement@un.org by 04 August 2025. Other Information: The applicant shall note that the United Nations reserves the right to assess and verify all information provided by the applicant for the above criteria. All documents submitted by applicants for this REOI must be written in English. All applications, including the required documents, shall be submitted within the timeline stipulated in this REOI. Applications submitted after the REOI closing date will only be accepted at the discretion of UNON. Each applicant who meets the three (3) minimum requirements will be deemed to have the technical capacity and professional experience to carry out the works. Applicants who do not satisfy the three (3) pre-qualification criteria will be regarded as non-conforming and will not be invited to participate in the ensuing competitive bidding process. Applicants should note that UNON, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to request additional information or documentation if required. No payment will be made by UNON to applicants or any other entity for any costs, expenses, losses, or damages incurred or suffered by the applicant or any other entity arising out of, or in connection with, the preparation of the application.
