Removal of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) from Various UNFICYP Locations (island-wide)

1. The United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) intends to conduct a competitive solicitation exercise for the removal of asbestos containing materials (ACM) from various UNFICYP Locations, on an "as and when required" basis, for an initial period of three (3) years, with two additional optional periods of one (1) year each. 2. The successful Contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years prior experience in asbestos removal services, and be able to provide the following services island-wide: - removal and disposal of corrugated cement panels from roofs and walls, - removal and disposal of black acoustic pads from under kitchen sinks, - environmental site clean-up on completion of the services, waste disposal at a authority-approved facility, final clearance and air monitoring, and; - supply and installation of wall and/or roof sandwich panels with white dry powder paint (coating) and/or aluminum corrugated sheets. 3. The successful Contractor shall be licensed by the local authorities to manage and perform asbestos removal and transportation services. 4. In this regard, UNFICYP would like to identify vendors that would be interested to participate in the competitive solicitation exercise. Qualified vendors are requested to express their interest by submitting the Vendor Response Form of this EOI electronically (through the link provided below) before the closing date above. Women-owned and disability-inclusive suppliers are strongly encouraged to express interest. 5. UNFICYP reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding and mere expression of interest does not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding exercise. UNFICYP reserves the right to change or cancel any of these requirements at any time during the EOI and/or the solicitation process. 7. The UNGM registration is mandatory for responding to this EOI.
