GH Management System
The United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) is the food-aid arm of the United Nations and the world’s largest Humanitarian Agency fighting hunger worldwide. WFP aims to reach more than 90 million people with food assistance in more than 70 countries.
WFP currently operates around 80 Guesthouses (GH) in 18 countries, for a total of approximately 800 rooms/beds. Their aim is to support WFP’s programs in locations where no other suitable accommodation exists.
At the moment, these facilities are managed in a very ad-hoc manner, with their internal procedures designed around the specifics of each location.
The introduction of a GH Management System, and of an On-line Booking Engine, would standardize all back office procedures and reporting formats, meeting the requirements of the long term facilities with usually more complex systems as well as the emergency operations where complexity stems from the fast paced environment and large volume of people using the facilities.
UNWFP hereby seeks and invites to pre-qualify interested reputable suppliers, service providers, system integrators, consulting firms, or other technology companies with a strong experience in Property Management Systems and on-line Reservation Systems, preferably with proven experience in deployment of Guest House Management solutions working in Remote Work-force Management scenarios, to express their interest by contacting UNWFP through the following dedicated e-mail address: hq.tenders@wfp.org not later than April 29, 2014 16:00 hours (Rome time). Potential suppliers, who have expressed interests, will receive further instructions to complete the questionnaire which will be used to pre-qualify potential solution providers.
Eligible suppliers, who meet all of the pre-qualification criteria, may be invited to participate in a competitive tender exercise (RFP).
