Long Term Agreement for the Provision of Aggregates to UNIFIL (1+1 Year)

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has a mandate to support the implementation of the Security Council Resolution 1701. As part of the Mission’s support programme, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from fully qualified companies wishing to be considered for inclusion in a tender for the following: Long Term Agreement for the Provision of Aggregates to UNIFIL (1+1 Year) The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon UNIFIL requires the services of a qualified contractor based in Lebanon for the supply of aggregates of various types on “As and When Required Basis” in UNIFIL Area of Operations (AO) as per specifications described further below based on a Long Term Agreement (LTA). CO-4000 SAND (fine duly sieved) Fineness modulus of sand should be less than 1 mm. Sand should be clean, washed, well graded. Clay, silt & any organic materials should not exceed 8%. Sand should not be sea sand & must be suitable for concrete mixing. CO-4001 GRAVEL SIZE 20 TO 25 mm Grading shall be such that not more than 5% shall be larger than the maximum size & not more than 10% smaller than the smallest size. Gravel should be machine crushed, regularly shaped, non-flaky, free of any organic matter or clay and suitable for concrete mixing. CO-4003 MACHLUTA PROCESSED SIZE 10 TO 40 mm Processed size 10 to 40 mm suitable for base course works. Maximum fine content should be between 20 and 25 % & clay should not exceed 3.5%. CO-4002 MACHLUTA PROCESSED SIZE 30 TO 120 mm Processed size 30 to 120 mm suitable for base course & filling works. Clay should not exceed 3.5%. CO-4004 STONES FOR SUB BASE COURSE SIZE 150 TO 300 mm Processed size 150 to 300 mm suitable for base course & filling works. Clay should not exceed 3.5%. CO-4005 POWDER (FINE) SIZE UP TO 1 mm To be used as bedding material. It should be hard well graded material screened and crushed as necessary to lie within the below grading envelope. The material shall have a CBR greater than 30%. The liquid limit should not be more than 40% and the plasticity index should not exceed 10%. Clay should not exceed 3.25%.
