The United Nations Support Office for AMISOM (hereinafter referred to as “UNSOA” or “the United Nations), seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from duly registered, authorized and competent companies for the Provision of Inspection Services for physical verification of the United Nations Owned Equipment (UNOE) and Contingent Owned Equipment (COE) in various locations in Somalia. Towards the delivery of its mandate, UNSOA has acquired, and continues to acquire a substantial number of United Nation Owned Equipment (UNOE) or goods, which are required to be physically verified in compliance with the United Nations policy guidelines and the newly adopted International Public Accounting Standard (IPSAS). UNSOA is also required to account through a physical verification process equipments brought to the Mission area from the Troop Contributing Countries (TCC) in support of the AMISOM mandate in Somalia, which are referred to as Contingent Owned Equipment (COE).UNSOA seeks to identify a contractor who has the capacity to deliver 100% percent verification and inspection of itemized UNOE and COE described above within UNSOA’s Mission areas in Somalia. UNSOA will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and accordingly intends to issue a solicitation document to those companies which shall express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their ability to fulfill UNSOA’s requirements. In addition, all interested companies will be required to complete online registration in the United Nations Global Market place at (www.ungm.org) . Please provide Company’s UNGM registration number (if already registered with UN at UNGM). Detailed scope of work will be provided to companies that will be short listed for receipt of the solicitation documents. The EOI should specify the subject , the relevant information about the company, including the company’s name and registration certificates; complete address including physcial address,phone, fax numbers and e-mail; name and title of the contact person; information concerning the capacity (i.e. financial strength and resources) and experience of the company; company profile, previous relevant experience in the last three years in contracts for the provision of similar services of similar scope, magnitude and on similar terms. This Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) does not constitute a solicitation. UNSOA reserves the right to change or cancel these requirements at any time in the REOI and/or solicitation process. UNSOA considers a firm's qualifications and experience in the service area, and previous performance, when preparing a list of invitees. Thus, submitting an EOI does not automatically guarantee a firm will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Due to the high volume of communications, UNSOA is not in a position to issue confirmation of receipt of EOIs. UNSOA reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the deadline below. The Expressions of Interest may be submitted by mail, email, facsimile or hand delivery in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the inscription "Expression of Interest for Provision of Inspection Services for physical verification of the United Nations Owned Equipment (UNOE) and Contigent Owned Equipment (COE) in various locations in Somalia and addressed as above to be received not later than 04 April 2014 at 17.00 hours Nairobi time (GMT +3).
